2025

2025 is definitely a fresh start for me. Leading up to Covid at the end of 2019 I had been unable to work for some time due to difficulties with my vision having developed severe cataracts as well as a number of difficulties over surgery; eventually I was sent to the wonderful ophthalmology unit at Gartnavel who performed miracles in getting my sight back. Then as Covid hit I took time out to spend with my parents but Covid hit hard and my mother passed early in the pandemic with my father passing shortly afterwards.

Losing your parents under any circumstances is difficult but losing both to Covid took its toll. A time out was necessary and I’ve not felt ready to get back to work until recently but 2025 is going to be a whole new start.

I’ve moved back to a wonderful spot in the Scottish Borders and although I’m starting to travel more and more, I’m much more grounded in having a home base.

For the past few months I’ve organised and decluttered; focussed on my health and well being, and spent many hours finding my musicianship skills again as well as my voice. I’ve updated my music studio, started recording again and now started taking bookings for work from September 2025.

2024 didn’t quite go to plan and I have some wonderful friends to thank for their support and endless encouragement despite difficult circumstances which took many months to resolve. It’s time to move forward and 2025 is definitely the year I’m back.
